Suzanne Beaney is the best striker in Ireland
It is official - Suzanne Beaney of Pegasus is the best striker in Ireland.
Not only did she top the goalscoring in Ulster, yet again this season, but she also proved her ability at the next level, by winning the trophy for the top scorer in the Irish Hockey League.
Beaney hit the net 56 times this season and 11 of those goals came in the IHL. She rounded off a superb season with a hat-trick in the final.
Another Pegasus forward, Vanessa Surgenor, was in joint second place with 32 goals. She tied with Lisnagarvey's Diane Topley.
